We will lead you through this sonic journey, using a variety of instruments. Each sound has its own unique frequency, and as they resonate, they can help balance your energy, alleviate stress, and facilitate profound relaxation.

Throughout the session, you may experience a range of sensations, emotions, and insights. Trust in the process and know that this is a safe and supportive environment for your inner exploration.

Lucia Cortesao and Monica Bartelli are both local yoga teachers, gong masters and sound healers.

The first Sound Bath of 2024 will start with a Cacao Ceremony.

The practice of cacao ceremony has its roots in the ancient cultures of Central and South America over 5000 years ago, where the cacao tree originated.

Ceremonial cacao was seen as a 'godly food,' and its consumption was often reserved for religious rituals to connect with divine entities and for guidance.

When Europeans arrived in the New World in the 15th century, the Spanish conquistadors took the cacao back to Spain, where it was sweetened with sugar.

Over time, the sacred, spiritual aspect of cacao faded in European society, and the commodity aspect took over.

In recent years, however, there has been a resurgence in the traditional use of cacao, especially among the Western and global holistic community.

From the ancient Olmecs to the Mayans and the Aztecs, cacao has journeyed through time, retaining its sacred aura and core principles - it's about reconnecting with nature, with the self, and with each other. The cacao is a medium, a tool that guides this reconnection.

The modern cacao ceremony can blend ancient rituals and contemporary spiritual practices.

Participants gather to drink ceremonial-grade cacao in a ritualistic manner, often with music, meditation, and sharing.

The aim is to reconnect with the heart and to tap into the more spiritual properties of the cacao plant.
